Every morning I take my dog, Snickers for a walk.  While walking I have continued in coming in contact with another older gentleman and his dog Max.  We would stop and let the dogs meet and talk small talk between each other.  I never asked the man his name and we never talked about more then the weather or about our dogs.

As usual I went for my walk with Snickers one morning and I noticed a woman with Max.  Snickers and I approached her and greeted Max.  The woman looked at me and said “My husband told me about a woman and her dog and that you were very nice”  “ I wanted to let you know that my husband passed away just two days ago”.  I have never in my life experienced this type of news.  I was taken completely off guard and I began weeping right then and there.  I responded by giving her a hug and told her that her husband was a very kind and nice man.  When I hugged her she could not hug back.  I noticed that she was not showing much emotion at all.  The thought crossed my mind.  “Did her husband believe in God and how can I comfort her?”

While I was weeping and trying to find the words to comfort her she started to walk away and she turned and looked at me and said “My husband is with His Lord!”  God answered my thoughts and my desire to know if he believed in or Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.at that very moment. I was filled with comfort right there and then and I continued walking home in shock of this news but also with thanksgiving that we have a God who does hear and answer us when we seek him. 

Do I believe that God answers my prayers, You bet!
