BETHANY SINGLE ADULTS

Calling all Bethany Singles 30+ to join our singles group!  It would be wonderful if we could expand our singles family.  We have many family friendly activities and we welcome new members with their children into our group.  Many active participants started in the group in their 30’s and are still enjoying the fellowship that the group offers.

If you are not now an active participant in our Single Adult group, please consider joining Sunday school and our social activities.  Be a part of the Bethany Single Adult Family. We come together not through a job, a school or a social event, but through something as solid and real as our Christian beliefs.  Where else can you know that the members of the group you are spending time with share the same beliefs and ethics as you possess?  Where else can you find a group that accepts people for the goodness they have without regard to their social position or financial holdings?   Our Singles group is such a place. Please invite fellow single parishioners to join our Sunday school class and to attend some of our events.

As the New Year begins, make a resolution to become a member of our Singles group.

Contact Karen Williamson, Singles Ministry Coordinator to receive e-mail updates and the monthly newsletter, or call the church office at 292-8778.

Bible Study - Sunday Mornings at
9:30AM in room 102

The SALT class isreading and discussing Twelve Extraordinary Women, How God Shaped Women of the Bible by John Macarthur. “They are not extraordinary because of their beauty, celebrity, or the status of their husbands. These twelve women are extraordinary because they courageously obeyed God’s voice in spite of their difficult circumstances. And through them, God’s plan is miraculously revealed.” Please join the SALT class for this great new study in Room 102 at 9:30AM.   Did you know that Bible study will help you to know God better and allow you to have an even closer relationship with Him? If you haven’t been coming to Sunday School what are you doing to enhance your Christian Education? Fertilize your spirit?Come on, get out of bed and join the class....we look forward to seeing you!

We are planning to go to a Sunday Gospel brunch this month after we finish the book.  More details will be sent out via email later this month.

Fundraising -   The group has determined that we could help more people in more ways if we had some money in our account.  Are you interested in starting a fundraising project or two?  If so, please contact Lorraine Wayland.

Capital Area Food Bank of Texas:  We will be working at the Food Bank every other month in 2010.  Our first scheduled date is March 6 from 1-4 pm.  Mark your calendars now and plan on joining us in this volunteer event. Bethany collects non-perishable food items for the Capital Area Food Bank each month so we encourage every one who can to contribute. The three highest needs are canned meat, peanut butter, and diapers. We also accept other items, such as soup, juice boxes, and other non-perishable food. You can drop off the food in the boxes near the entrances of the sanctuary. This food is distributed year round to the food pantries throughout Central Texas who assist families with groceries. If so, please contact Lorraine Wayland.
