Our Vision for Missions
Through cultural emersion, we hope to raise up leaders who will be missionaries in their own community by providing them with hands on training and opportunities to take their walk with Christ to a deeper level.
Antigua Guatemala
Mar 14 - Mar 21, 2009
The Guatemala mission is intentionally focused to minister to the spiritual needs of the orphan community in Antigua. Daily care and attention will be directed to presenting Christ's love to the children who otherwise may have not experienced a great deal of loving and caring. Other missional activities are under development at this time but many opportunities are known to exist in the Antigua vicinity. The trip is scheduled to coincide with Spring Break for most school districts and universities to allow participation for missionaries of most ages. Teenage youth are welcome if accompanied or adopted by adult participants.
Bethany's Mission Team to Guatemala is wanting to partner with the congregation by enlisting Antigua Angels.
This program will give members an opportunity to assist with the ministry needs for the orphans and street children
of Antigua during our mission trip in March. We would like for you to stop by the informational table in the welcome
area on February 8, February 15 or February 22 to learn more about becoming an Antigua Angel. As always, the
team appreciates your continued support and prayers. Contact Kevin Brown or Barry Cook for further information.
Helping Fellow texas - Houston
march 14-18, 2009

Pastor Lentz will be leading a mission team that will be going to Galveston to help with cleanup from Hurricane Ike.
This is a great opportunity for singles, couples, and families to attend.
The cleanup will take years, but we still want to offer any help we can. We will be doing this over Spring Break of 2009; going on Saturday morning, March 14th and returning on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning March 17th/18th. Please consider going and helping fill this need of so many. You can simply contact Pastor Lentz at church if you would like to take part.
Young Adults to Saltillo, Mexico
(March 15-21, 2009)
We are planning a mission trip to interior Mexico in March 2009, and available for young adults (post-high school to about 35 y.o.). Specifically, the trip will be planned for a destination of Saltillo, which is a large city near Monterrey. This is a week-long trip during the usual college spring-break time, this coming year on March 15-21. Our group will actually join an annual trip originally designed specifically for college students, and coordinated through the Can-Do office of Concordia University-Texas. Activities are expected to include construction and Vacation Bible School at one to three church or mission sites in Saltillo. Participants can expect to interact with both adults and children in the community, and to have intentional spiritual growth activities. Our group will be coordinated by Mark Boerger, Director of Young Adult Ministries. Questions can be addressed to Mark Boerger.
The Missions at Oaks, OK
July 18-24, 2009
This summer, July 18-24, 2009, the KREED Youth Group (6th-8th graders) will be going on a Mission Trip to The Oaks in Oaks, Oklahoma. The Oaks provides a residential care program for 48 Native America children ranging in age from 3 to 18. All have suffered some form of abuse or neglect. Many are orphans. Others have been abandoned. The needs of the children are the same as all children - love, food, shelter, clothing, encouragement, support, understanding, and opportunity for education. The KREED group will help to build new churches and facilities, conduct VBS and other outreach activities, mark Bibles to be given away, and minister to hurting children. Check out the pictures from the trip.
