Through cultural emersion, we hope to raise up leaders who will be missionaries in their own community by providing them with hands on training and opportunities to take their walk with Christ to a deeper level.

On Sunday afternoon, March 7 at 12:30PM, plans will begin to be made for our family / Spring Break Mission trip. This is the team that went to Juarez/El Paso two years ago and Beaumont/Bridge City/Hurricane Ike cleanup last year. The trip for 2010 will be to Liberty County for more Hurricane Ike cleanup. Housing is secured, projects are in place – LET’S GO! Come to this informational meeting to learn more.You can simply contact Pastor Lentz if you would like to take part.

Young Adults to Villa mainero, Mexico

We are again organizing a mission trip to Mexico this coming March.  This will be a one-week trip, from Sunday, March 14 to Saturday, March 20.  Last year we went to Saltillo, a large city in the state of Coahuila.  This year will be a different experience as we travel to the small town of Villa Mainero, in the state of Tamaulipas, southeast of the city of Monterrey. 

This is a trip for young adults, and is organized by CAN-DO, a branch of Concordia University-Texas.  The plan is to help build a new worship center as well as to offer a Vacation Bible School for local children.  Expect not only to work on these projects, but to experience adventure and personal growth, and build meaningful relationships with other young adults outside of your usual contacts.

Total cost per participant (other than souvenirs, snacks, and maybe a lunch while traveling) is $370 for the entire week, including all transportation, lodging, and the majority of meals.  In fact, Bethany believes in the value of mission trips such as this, and will further offset the costs:  the reduced costs for the first 10 signing up will be only $270.

Well, it's now time to make a decision about your attendance, and if the decision is positive, then to register.  This year, registration is on-line.   Please register no later than Jan. 17, 2010.
