The Bethany Music Ministry offers a wide variety of opportunities for those seeking to serve the Lord through music. Here is a listing of some of the music organizations you may want to join. Contact David Angerman for more information.
The Chancel Choir, a mixed choir (high school through adult), meets Wednesdays at 7PM. Under the direction of David Angerman, Director of Music, they provide special music predominately for the 11AM service. In addition, the Chancel Choir presents a Lessons and Carols service with full orchestra during the Christmas season. Occasionally, they prepare a major musical to present to the congregation and community.
The Praise Team, an auditioned vocal and instrumental team helps lead worship at the 9:30 and 11AM services. Vocalists and instrumentalists lift songs of praise to the Lord. Auditions are held bi-annually. Watch the announcements for the next audition, or contact David Angerman for more information.
Frost Bellringers ring praises to the Lord in worship and other venues. About twelve ringers play on five octaves of bells.
VLQ or the Very Large Quartet is made up of more than four men! Though we outgrew the four singers needed for a quartet, we like the name just the same. VLQ sings everything from barbershop to Gaither. They usually sing for the early service, but can also be heard at various social functions and other services.
JoySingers is a choir for 3rd-5th graders. In addition to singing at Sunday worship they also prepare an annual Christmas musical. For more information, you can contact Kimberly Angerman.
Celebration Singers, a choir for 6th-8th graders under the direction of Kimberly Angerman, learn anthems and contemporary songs for worship.
The Sonrise Singers is open to all high school students, grades 9-12, under the direction of Kimberly Angerman. In addition to singing for worship, in the spring they prepare a musical production to take on tour in the early summer. Past tours have taken them all across the United States, Canada and the Bahamas. Check out their productions: this year's Twitter Me; last year's Raising Cain, or Over the Rainbow.
Instrumentalists – Brass, woodwind, percussion and string players enhance worship from time to time, either separately or in combination. They come together as a full orchestra during Easter, Christmas and for a patriotic service for the July 4th celebration. If you are interested in joining us, contact David Angerman for more information.
High School Youth Praise Band is a special ministry that helps lead openings, closings, and Prayer and Praise Sunday for the High School Youth Program. The band is open to high school youth wanting to try out for the band and is youth led. If you are interested, please contact Landon Becker the Minister of Youth and Education.
