Bethany offers a broad range of programs to help those who are in time of need.

Stephen Ministry
An outreach to individuals experiencing serious life problems. Members of the congregation receive special training to be of help to individuals in crisis.

Steven Ministry is devoted to helping others who are experiencing undo stresses in their livesand trying to cope through troubling times. Stephen Ministers go through extensive trainingin caring for and helping others, whether it be for an illness,or hospitalization, family problems, depression, various forms of losses, such as job loss or losing a loved one.  If you or someone you know are struggling to get through any type of a life crisis, please contact Sharon Dornak (512 268-1352) or Mark Butterworth (512 786-7503). We value your confidentiality and our only desire is to provide the care you may need to get through whateverstruggles you are experiencing.

Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous meets at Bethany on a weekly basis. Please enter through the north door facing Slaughter Ln. The groups/meeting times are as follows:

  • Sunday - 7PM in room 107
  • Monday (Women's Group) - 7PM in room 107
  • Tuesday - 7PM in room 107
  • Friday - 7PM and 8PM in room 107

DivorceCare Class
This Christ-centered program provides emotional support and information on dealing with all of the issues of divorce and single parenting. The registration is $15 and includes a workbook. Scholarships are available for anyone who cannot afford the cost of the book. Please contact the facilitator, Tammy Fisher, LPC, LMFT-A, CART  for more information and to register for the class.
