K9 Comfort Dog Ministry

Bethany is working to get a Lutheran Church Charities comfort dog. Following the Newtown school shooting, the dogs went to Sandy Hook School, and in Boston, they were deployed after the marathon bombing. They have spent time in West, Texas, after the fertilizer plant explosion and have been all over the country. The dogs, about 70 of them, serve or will serve in local communities and are invited to bring peace and comfort to areas hit by devastation and tragedy. If you are interested in being involved in this ministry we are looking for handlers, caregivers, assistant handlers, administrative support, and donations to get this ministry going.

Kick Off - Spirit Night Fundraisers for Operation Christmas Child

The OCC team is happy to announce we have 3 new restaurants, Schlotzsky’s, BurgerFi, and Chili’s that will host Spirit Night Fundraisers to benefit OCC! This will bring us to 5 restaurants who will donate a percentage of sales. We will have a total of 16 Spirit Nights: one each week for 4 months!

Restaurant Schedule

All you have to do is give them your business on those dates and times, be sure to give your receipt to either an OCC team member, or a restaurant employee.  We will use the funds raised to purchase The Greatest Journey discipleship booklets and New Testament Bibles.  We want the children to learn about Jesus, that He gave His life for them, and that He is their Savior! We want them to grow in their faith and become faithful followers of Jesus. We need to get the Word of God into their hands! As you know, Jesus commanded us to, “Go and make disciples.”  What do you say. . . let’s give the restaurants some business so we can start some children on The Greatest Journey of their life!
