Dear Sister in Christ: The 2010 Women’s Retreat Committee is excited to extend to you a personal invitation to our Bethany Women’s Retreat to be held on April 9-11 at Camp Lone Star in La Grange, TX. The weekend promises to have all the ingredients for a memorable weekend. Spiritual growth and renewal. Christian fellowship. Uplifting music. And lots of fun! What a great opportunity to get to know the wonderful and diverse women of Bethany in a beautiful and relaxing natural setting! Our hope is that you will spend much needed time away from your hectic schedule of everyday life, and learn about the “Perfect Love” God wants to share with us. This retreat is also a wonderful opportunity to you to reach out and invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers and other interested women to a weekend of rest, reflection and fellowship. Psychology Professor, Marchelle Scarnier from Concordia University in Austin, TX will be our wonderful speaker. She will lead us in discussion about how some people are easy and a joy to love and others are difficult and humanly impossible to love. Through those relationships one truth endures: We will never be able to love others well until we have been loved. God’s “Perfect Love”, ultimately give us the complete love we so desperately need.
